My name is Andy Barlow. I joined the ECC staff as Adult Education Minister in 2008 after serving twenty years as a linguist with Wycliffe Bible Translators. I graduated from Crichton College in Memphis with a Bachelor of Arts in Cross Cultural Ministries, and I completed a Master of Arts in Linguistics at the University of Texas at Arlington. I later earned a Master of Arts in Biblical Studies as well as a Master of Theology from Dallas Theological Seminary. I enjoy reading, trout fishing, four wheel drive vehicles, and being with my family, my wife, Julie, and four daughters: Chantal, Charissa, Chloé and Christiana.

PARENTS

A personal note to you from Keath:

Although my ministry is primarily to students, they are not the only people in whom I desire to invest time. My ministry is also to the parents of ECC. I value my relationships with you because you are vital and strategic partners in this ministry.

Mothers and fathers are better suited for ministering to teens and more esteemed by their children than any youth minister could hope to be.

This is why it is important that you help us be effective with your teens by modeling Christlikeness in your homes and encouraging them to participate.

It is this ministry of the home that will be the springboard to effective ministry in the church. In fact, it is my desire to see the Youth Ministry of ECC only supplement the primary ministry of the home. This is a Biblical approach (Deuternomny 6:1-9).

I encourage you to be all that God has called you to be through His Word and to encourage your students to be involved on Sunday morning, Sunday nights, and during mid week Bible Studies.

If you have any questions or input, please feel free to call me at (731) 668-4141.

Julie Boyer, Urban Ministries Coordinator

(email)

julieHi! My name is Julie Boyer, and I’ve been on staff here at ECC since 1997 and full time since 2001. I grew up in Washington State and came down to Tennessee in the fall of 1997 to attend college at Union University. I became involved in the After School Tutoring Ministry my first year and worked as a volunteer tutor/part time coordinator until graduation in 2001 when I joined the ECC ministry team full time.

With so many people moving out of the cities these days, I believe our “inner cities” are some of the most important places for Christians to remain.

My name is Keath Butt, and I have been a part of ECC’s staff since 1999 as the Youth Ministries Director. I am from the wonderful state of South Carolina where I grew up most of my life. It was there that I attended Columbia International University and earned my degree in Bible and Youth Ministries. I have been involved in ministering to students for fifteen years in the states of South Carolina, Texas, and presently here in Tennessee.

I was married in June of 1999 to my lovely wife Sara just two weeks before we arrived in Jackson in July of the same year.
