Women’s Ministry

ECC provides several monthly women’s meetings during the year to promote quality relationships and fellowship. A women’s conference is planned each year, along with seasonal Bible studies.

Every Wednesday at 9:30 a.m. a group of women gather at the church to pray.

Men’s Bible Studies

There is a weekly fellowship for men to meet and study God’s Word at ECC. These studies equip men not only in their walk with God but help empower them for ministry in the world. For more information, please contact the church office 668-4141 and ask for Andy Barlow.

Wednesday at 6 to 7 a.m. Dr. Kent Jones teaches Bible to men from several churches and denominations here at ECC. The study is usually of a specific book of the Bible. New members are always welcome.

Music Ministry

The music ministry at ECC encompasses a broad perspective, embracing all denominations with a variety of music styles.

Corporate worship at ECC is based on Psalm 105:2 & 3 “Sing to His holy name; sing praise to Him; tell of all His wonderful acts. Glory in His holy name; let the hearts of those who seek the Lord rejoice.”

Our worship service aims to praise God with both hymns and choruses in a contemporary musical setting enhanced by special music from various groups within the church including Adult Choir, Children’s Choir, Men’s Octet, and various soloists.

At Easter and Christmas, musicals, dramas and special music are presented by the adult choir, our children’s choir and the many skilled musicians in our body.

The adult choir, under the direction of Kim Graves, our Choir Director/Pianist, enjoys worshiping through many musical styles from classical to contemporary praise and worship. Our worship team plays a very active role in corporate worship through leading our body in praise and special music.

Geri Johnsey, our Organist/Music Director, honors us with her highly developed skills, talents and experience in leading church worship here at ECC.

The ultimate goal of our worship experience is not perfection, but seamless and joyful praise. We pray that every believer may feel the freedom to worship Christ in spirit and in truth.

Urban Ministries

We have several outreach ministries to families in the urban area of Jackson. Many of these are directed toward students through tutoring, youth activities, discipleship, and summer camp. These are also designed to encourage and come alongside the families of these students, some who are in difficult or challenging situations
